Tacoma Ocean Fest kicks off in June with a three-day weekend of ocean-focused fun. The Lantern Paddle for Species will take place 7 to 10pm June 10 at Foss Waterway Seaport (inside and on the water); a Beach Cleanup, 9:30am to noon on June 11 at Purdy Spit, with aerial trash art; and the Ocean Fest Festival, 10am to 5pm June 12 at Foss Waterway Seaport, with art, music, film, poetry, dance, hands-on science, storytelling, food trucks and water fun. The month continues with the Tacoma Ocean Film Fest June 15 through 17, marine biologist beach walks June 18 and 19, stream cleanup days June 25 and 26, and ongoing art in the Seaport museum, including a Third Thursday artist talk June 17.
